Pacific Coast Hospitality is seeking a dynamic, seasoned Resort Executive Sous Chef to lead the culinary team for our Oregon oceanfront client, in beautiful Cannon Beach, Oregon. Our client’s establishment, whose menu, exterior and interior underwent a significant renovation in 2017 celebrates classic coastal seafood roots, with a menu focused on top quality, local and seasonal ingredients. Craft cocktails, NW beers on tap, and a whiskey bar compliment the beautiful ocean view. Breakfast and lunch are perfect for couples and families alike.
The Executive Sous Chef will play an integral role on the management team, demonstrating the highest standard of culinary excellence and team leadership. The ESC is responsible for culinary activities of the restaurant and catering team, overseeing all activity in the kitchen, training personnel, overseeing product purchasing and managing the culinary budget. Menu development, team building, trouble shooting, and operational efficiency are critical skillsets.
Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following:
- Minimum 3-5 years of recent Sous Chef experience is preferred
- Degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program is desirable
- Experience in luxury hotel or fine dining preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)
- Strong commitment to guest experience
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently
- Creative, flexible, detail-oriented and excellent at prioritizing
- Professional, friendly and engaging personality.
Salary Range & Benefits
- Salary – $55k – $70k (starting, based on experience level)
